About Stephanie
I've been crafting for as long as I can remember. Growing up I was always taking on new projects and learning new crafts, from papercrafting to boondoggle to sewing, knitting, crochet, decoupage, YOU NAME IT! The possibilities are endless - except for scrapbooking - Ironically, I find this hobby a bit overwhelming!
My business is in its second year and is continuing to evolve as I am inspired to try new things. Although I am open to any creative challenge, I shifted business focus to textiles and creating items that were thoughtful, practical and fun. In all my work, I strive to use the most organic materials possible in order to turn an ordinary idea into something special. I use a lot of vintage and vintage-style fabric, which help me to create products that make it easy to bring back the best ideas from the past with a new and polished finish! From aprons to cloth napkins, reuseable dryer sheets to handmade laundry soap, coffee cozies to repurposed fabric tote bags, etc...
I am always looking at new ways to use and revive old standbys...
I am creating for the crafty, the not-so-crafty, the domestic goddess, the person with the brown thumb or the one who has a friend with a green thumb; the person who hates throwing away the cardboard java jackets; my eco-feminist friends (special shout out!); those who love the idea of being environmentally conscious always - and those who are taking one change at a time; for those who have a friend who might enjoy a special gift or someone who just wants to splurge on another apron to add to an already excessive collection; and the parent who needs to entertain the children at the restaurant dinner table - or for the benefit of the friend who would REALLY like to catch up with her best friend even if she at a table full of toddlers for the night!
All of the items I create resonate with me personally and I hope you can find a story in them for yourself as you visit.
